Robert Young Estate Winery is located in the heart of Alexander Valley. The Young family have lived on and farmed their 448- acre ranch for over 165 years, passed down through 6 generations since 1858. Robert Young is the largest family owned grower of premium grapes in Alexander Valley, and the patriarch, Robert Young, was the first to plant Cabernet Sauvignon in the valley back in 1963, the varietal that Alexander Valley is famous for today. Robert Young Estate Winery is known for big, lush, Chardonnays, bold Cabernets, and sublime Bordeaux blends, selected from the very best vineyard blocks on the estate. These small lot wines are not distributed and exclusive to their members and visitors. The 5th and 6th generation now work in the cellar and tasting room, continuing the Youngs’ dream of remaining family owned for many generations to come.
