Director of Sales

DaVero Farms & Winery, a unique winery in Healdsburg of Sonoma County, is seeking a Director of Sales to lead us to the next level. Our business is nearly 100% DTC, and mostly focused on direct-to-club. We are known for growing Italian / Mediterranean varieties and are established as thought leaders in regenerative farming.

DUTIES

Core Responsibilities

  • Set strategy for our growing Wine Club, analyze/report on all channels of DTC, and nurture an atmosphere of teamwork, professionalism, and enthusiasm to elevate and enhance sales and guest experiences.
  • Lead and expand DTC sales operations, with a particular focus on growing the wine club.
  • Efficiently manage operations to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Drive visitation growth through proactive outreach, events, and digital initiatives.
  • Craft extraordinary customer experiences and provide leadership in staff training, fostering a high-performance culture among hospitality associates.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Oversee our front-of-the-house team, actively build partnerships, and grow exposure to increase visitor traffic.
  • Develop and manage the annual plan for DTC across the tasting room, wine club, and events.
  • Prepare and manage the budget associated with the annual DTC business.
  • Identify market trends, consumer behaviors, and the competitive landscape to inform strategy.
  • Develop strategic partnerships and programs with trade organizations to increase traffic and exposure for the winery.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve operations and customer experiences.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, with an impressive sales management background and a deep understanding of best practices around presenting an elevated, club-centric DTC brand. And they’ll be familiar with using targeted distribution to support the brand. They’ll know how to work as a core contributor on a management team with the ability to implement and execute revenue-driving activities.

Compensation will be a function of experience, ranging from $75K to $95K, plus bonuses for hitting targets you’ll help to establish. Fully paid health insurance and a generous vacation policy are included.
