The ideal candidate for this position should:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Enthusiastically welcome guests into the winery as the first contact and serve as a conduit and liaison between guests and the DTC / Hospitality Team so that all visitor experiences meet our highest standards

• Respond to all calls promptly. Manage inbound and outbound phone and email correspondence and requests, first and foremost with members and also with guests and referral sources

• Book tours and tastings at Jarvis via phone (includes answering phones, answering winery-related questions, confirming reservation appointments, and concierge services for winery club members); in a professional and friendly manner; and be the primary point person for scheduling and confirming reservation appointments.

  • Scheduling and choreography of reservations to ensure the balance of flow is appropriate through the tasting rooms
  •  Act as a full-service concierge, including assisting all our guests and especially our members with recommendations/reservations for hotels, restaurants, spas, and other wineries 
  • Establish and maintain relationships with guests on behalf of the winery and follow-up as needed via email and telephone
  • Data entry and order input
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with management and staff
  • Contribute to special projects and perform additional duties as needed, which may be as varied as filing and preparation for special events


• Well developed hospitality and “white glove” customer service skills • A minimum of two years or more of luxury guest or hospitality experience

• Previous winery-related hospitality experience is a strong advantage but not a firm requisite. We will consider candidates from the hotel or restaurant industry

• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of following directions and effectively communicate with customers and co-workers by telephone, email, and in-person

• Must be able to sit for extended periods and stay on task

• Strong attention to detail and a general commitment to quality in all aspects of work

• Highly accurate data entry skills

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others as part of a high performing team

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and CRM / POS programs

• Spoken fluency in a second language, mainly Spanish or Japanese, would be an advantage *NOTE: Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.*
