Hospitality Sales Associate

We are a second-generation family-owned winery located about 5 miles east of St. Helena in Napa Valley. Since 1990, we have been producing small-lot, estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot & Chardonnay. Our case production is roughly 3,000 cases annually. One of Seavey’s most important goals is to serve as excellent stewards of the land. By developing virtuous circles of connection between our farming and winemaking, we promote farming regenerative and sustainable operations, and winemaking operations that rely on renewable energy and minimize resource use and reduce waste.

We are seeking an enthusiastic self-motivated team player and can-do professional hospitality specialist to join our dynamic & passionate team as our Estate Host. The position will start with a minimum of 30 to 32 hours per week Thursday through Sunday, with the potential for 40 hours per week depending on tasting room demand, the season, and candidate’s qualifications.


• Create memorable wine experiences for our guests by greeting & warmly welcoming each visitor, pour wines for tastings, discuss our viticulture & winemaking practices including our wine library.
• Promotes the sale of wine and club memberships through a high level hospitality and by educating customers about the uniqueness of our brand, including our vineyard history, accolades and awards
• Work as a team with other staff to complete daily order entry, respond to guest inquiries & tasting room appointment requests, cultivate & manage relationships with tour companies & concierges, & maintain cleanliness & organization of the tasting room including completing daily opening & closing duties
• Provide support for sales, special events, social media, CRM management, shipping assistance, & outreach
• Assist with club releases, administrative tasks, & outreach to club members
• Utilizing a combination of your connections and ours in the valley, develop innovative ways to drive DTC traffic to our historic tasting room set on our remote but beautifully rustic estate.
• Operational & Administration – Provide monthly metrics and assist with inventory, order fulfillment, filing & other duties as assigned
• This person will be responsible to follow all of the company’s established health and safety procedures.
• The position reports to our General Manager.
• Scheduling flexibility is mandatory, particularly during the summer & fall.

• Must be at least 21 years of age

• Positive professional demeanor with at least two years of tasting room and/or retail sales experience
• Solid knowledge of wine, wine production, & how wines age. Wine education certification or cellar work a strong plus.
• Computer proficiency (POS system, WineDirect and Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Must be able to lift & carry 45 lbs. & perform at a high caliber while standing for long periods
• Reliable transportation required
