Hospitality Sales Associate

This individual would serve as the Setting Wines Tasting Room Manger at the Bacchus Landing location, Healdsburg CA.
This is an opportunity to become part of a small, passionate, professional team sharing award winning wines with like-minded wine enthusiasts.

The ideal candidate would have prior sales and customer service management experience, focused on in-person selling, a professional manner, verbal and written.
Personality-wise, we’re looking for someone who likes to work individually and alongside a small team, is a creative thinker, has a true passion for hospitality, and is focused on building long-term relationships.

This is a full-time position.

  • The estate Host will receive an hourly wage (BOE) plus a percentage of wine sales and Society sign ups.
  • Salary (DOE) + commission


  • Manage and execute all scheduled tastings in Healdsburg for the Setting Wines
  • Conduct off-site pourings, tastings and events as needed.
  • Coordinate tasting room staff scheduling-timekeeping and approval for direct reports.
  • Manage Tasting Room Staff training and quarterly commissions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the tasting; sharing our story, promoting the Setting Society and selling our wine in a confident and skilled manner while building meaningful, genuine relationships with our guests.
  • Handle purchases using POS system and provide retail-related guidance to customers.
  • Respond to all customer service issues in a professional, warm and timely manner.
  • Schedule and manage the by-appointment tastings along with walk-in opportunities.
  • Manage onsite wine inventory, stemware and merchandise.
  • Work closely with the General Manager/Director of Sales to successfully execute the monthly, quarterly and yearly marketing and sales calendar.
  • Develop innovative ways to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the completion of daily opening and closing Tasting Room duties.
  • Work closely with our operating systems: Alexander Valley Cellars and VineSpring to assist in managing inventory and Wine Society needs.
  • Work alongside Operations to ensure each tasting continues to run efficiently, sales are being processed appropriately and guests are receiving the highest level of excellence in each tasting.

Additional Duties

  • Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety along with the overall appearance and cleanliness of the tasting room.
  • Weekly inventory check and requests as needed


Minimum requirements:

  • Winery tasting room, wholesale, retail wine tasting or wine tasting and purchasing management experience required.
  • The ideal candidate will be extremely detail-oriented and able to work individually and as a team.
  • Exceptional customer service skills are an absolute necessity.
  • Computer proficiency: MS Office, Database, Adobe Illustrator, and POS software experience
  • The ability to multi-task is necessary.
