Visit Napa Valley is searching for a Brand Marketing Manager and a Communications Manager/Associate.

Brand Marketing Manager

Visit Napa Valley is currently seeking a Brand Marketing Manager with experience in design and brand development. This role requires a passion for and familiarity with Napa Valley and will support brand initiatives that will elevate Napa Valley as the world’s premier luxury wine destination. This role will be an instrumental part of the marketing team and will report to and work closely with the Director of Marketing on pulling through strategic priorities into day-to-day marketing activities. The ideal candidate is analytical and metrics driven while being creative and strategic in their approach.

This position will oversee brand graphics, brand standards, coordinate vendor relationships, help manage photography and videography, and build brand collateral including presentations, brochures, owned channels, events, and other print and digital executions. This role will not only support marketing, but also the CEO, the Communications team, and the Partnership and Sales teams in their efforts.

This position is not remote, but is full-time and on-site, and will require occasional travel across the valley.


  • Partner Communications: Manage partner newsletter communications, draft PPT presentations for leadership team, manage Napa Valley News Facebook page and Visit Napa Valley LinkedIn content calendar, support partnership team by attending partner visits
  • Media Relations: Support Director of Communications; manage agency relationships, maintain press contact database, engage with partners to coordinate press itineraries, host press, write press communications, maintain open lines of communication with local press, manage messaging updates, update and maintain Visit Napa Valley evergreen press kit
  • Crisis Communications: Maintain and update crisis communication toolkits with input from Visit Napa Valley leadership team
  • Community and Industry Relations: Support management of programs that engage local community, hospitality industry, and elected officials
  • Actively participate in team brainstorms and cross-departmental meetings


  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in brand marketing and development
  • An eye for effective creative design and advertising
  • Experience with InDesign, Adobe Design suite, and photo & video editing
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Superior project management skills
  • Familiarity with and passion for Napa Valley
  • Familiarity with luxury markets
  • Strong preference for wine experience
  • Experience with DMOs, vendor management, and agencies strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills – written and oral
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle for local travel

Communications Manager/Associate

Visit Napa Valley is seeking a skilled communications professional to support partner, community, industry, and press communications. This multi-position player will support the Visit Napa Valley mission of promoting Napa Valley as an attractive travel destination and enhancing its public image as a dynamic place to visit, live, and work. This position will support the following areas of activity with increasing responsibility as is warranted.

This position is full-time, on-site, and will require occasional travel across the valley.


  • Support the Marketing Director on consumer marketing campaigns and initiatives, including owned and paid marketing
  • Be the main point person for all marketing day-to-day projects – you will be the lynchpin to keep all marketing initiatives on track
  • Manage activation events, making sure all brand needs are met, and coordinate with valley-wide partners to participate in and promote special events and programs
    Manage third-party brand marketing sponsorship builds, and align with partnership activities if relevant
  • Manage the audits of all owned channels, pulling together internal, agency, consumer, and partner feedback to drive changes and enhancements that will drive positive growth
  • Develop and manage the media kit, and ensure brand accuracy on all collateral (print and digital) developed by Visit Napa Valley
  • Analyze and utilize metrics to inform marketing and promotional activities, build departmental dashboards, and pull together monthly reporting to be fed out into the organization and the public
  • Identify and leverage best practices for increasing engagement on Visit Napa Valley-owned channels, working with the Content & Social Manager and Sr Manager of Digital Marketing
  • Be main point of contact for the Visitor Magazine, aligning internal teams and magazine development team on shared goals, and align partnership needs into magazine development, working with the Partnership team
  • Leverage local partners to help amplify Visit Napa Valley’s messaging across partner platforms
  • Own all consumer research, identify visitor trends, communicate those trends with relevant teams within the organization, and support Communications team on prioritizing messaging to press
  • Define processes and best practices to ensure all assets and communications coming out of various teams at Visit Napa Valley, including ads, content, sales collateral, etc. are on brand and of high quality
  • Ensure Visit Napa Valley’s online reputation is stellar, including running campaigns to build trust in the Napa Valley brand and change any negative perceptions
  • Amplify and manage initiatives that meet target audience segments
  • Help build presentations for Sr. Leadership, as needed
    Brand Visuals and Design
  • Be the graphic and visual expert for the Visit Napa Valley brand, aligning all collateral with similar look and feel, working closely with the Sr Mgr of Digital Marketing
  • Manage all marketing swag builds, including sourcing and branding
  • Pull through all campaigns into the Napa Valley Welcome Center, working with the digital marketing manager to build video and brand messaging into the Welcome Center
  • As needed, support the Content Manager and PR team on developing messaging for articles, website, etc.
  • Working with the Content Manager, build a stable of photographers and videographers to leverage for content, partner, and advertising needs
  • Develop, obtain, update, edit, and curate visual imagery for all public-facing branding
  • Partner with agencies, partners, and internal team members on content and creative development.


  • Minimum of 3-4 years experience in a full-time communications role in a professional setting. Preferred experience in the wine, hospitality industry and/or a destination management organization.
  • Familiarity with trends in travel, wine, hospitality, and Napa Valley.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication: excellent grammar, strong knowledge of AP style, ability to adjust tone and writing style based on audience; at ease on phone, virtual meetings, and presenting in front of small groups.
  • Excellent analytical skills: ability to absorb information and synthesize implications for stakeholders with input from Visit Napa Valley leadership team.
  • Polished presentation skills with the ability to create/assemble them using Powerpoint.
